Rayleigh Tennis Academy has a strong coaching team and all the Coaching Assistants are products of the Academy. We believe in getting the balance right between learning and making the lessons fun and we have a strong ethos on playing the game in a sporting manner. This is not the place to come to if you are a sore loser!
Emily Watts
Private / Saturday Coach
LTA Level 3
Emily has recently completed her level 3 qualification and has been coaching 8 years now at weekends and has recently stared offering 1 to 1 lessons.
Emily has won the 21 & under, as well as winning our ladies singles 6 times in a row, the ladies doubles and the mixed doubles. Emily is also the ladies southed and district champion. Emily is a regular for our ladies first team that competes in the Essex league.

Emily Thompson
Assistant / Cover Coach
LTA Level 2
Emily has been part of our coaching team for 5+ years and covers groups and assists with groups and summer camps . Emily has won our ladies singles and is one half of our ladies doubles and mixed doubles champions. Emily has been representing our ladies team since the age of 12. Emily is now a regular member for the ladies first team.
Matt Cannon
Cover Coach
LTA Level 2
Matt has been at the club since he was 9 years old and is one half of the men's doubles champions . Matt is also our men's club captain and regularly represents our men's and mixed first team in essex and local leagues .He has passed his level 2 coaching badge in 2015 and has continued to play at the club ever since.
Louis Rawley
Cover / Saturday Coach
LTA Level 2
Louis completed his level 2 in 2022 and has been coaching at the club for 5+ years and has had experience coaching in schools and at the club. Louis has won U21 singles, men's singles, and is one half of our men's doubles and mixed doubles winners. Also Louis is a regular part of our men's 2nd team that competes in the Essex and local leagues .

Cover Coach
Alex is currently undergoing his Level 2 qualification and has been part of our coaching team since 2019 and is currently assisting the weekday groups as well as in the schools also he is one half of our intermediate men's doubles champions . Alex represents our Men's and 2nd and 3rd team in the Essex League and local leagues.
Joe completed his level 2 coaching qualification in January 2018. Joe has been part of our coaching team since 2014. Joe has represents our Men's and Mixed 1st Team in the Essex League and local leagues.
